The BS 476-6 test method is a measurement method for the flame propagation performance of materials, mainly used to evaluate the fire resistance of wall and ceiling linings, and the measurement results are expressed in flame propagation index.
During the test, the test piece is exposed to a tube burner, and the heat output of the lamp is 530J/m2. After the test for 2 minutes and 45 seconds, the total power of the two electric heaters is adjusted to 1800 watts. When the test is 5 minutes, the power was reduced to 1500 watts, and then the power is maintained unchanged until the end of the test, and the total test time was 20 minute.
