Introduction:
Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) as a new type of biomass energy, it is gradually becoming an important source of fuel for diesel powered vehicles. Compared with traditional fossil fuels, it has renewable and outstanding environmental protection characteristics, and has attracted more and more attention. Like edible oil, biodiesel is not stable during storage and will be slowly oxidized by oxygen in the air. The primary products of the oxidation process are peroxides. After a period of time, the esters are completely consumed. The secondary reaction products are mainly small molecular organic acids, volatile organic compounds and some colloidal polymeric substances, which will cause engine damage. Therefore, oxidation stability is an important index to measure the quality of biodiesel, which needs to be tested regularly in the process of production and storage.
The FAME analyzer is manufactured according to NB/SH/T 0873-2013 Biodiesel and Its Blended Fuels -- Determination of Oxidation Stability -- Accelerated Oxidation Method. Other Applicable standards are as follows:

The measuring principle of the instrument is that the sample is placed in an aluminum heating block with constant temperature, the clean air is introduced into the biodiesel sample, and the air flows through the sample into the measuring tank containing absorption liquid and bubbles. The end of the induction period is accompanied by the production of volatile organic acids (mainly formic acid), which will accelerate the increase of conductivity in the measuring cell. The conductivity of the absorption solution is recorded by computer software, and the induction time is automatically obtained by automatically calculating the second-order differential maximum point of the conductivity versus time curve.

3.Besides of induction response time,software can also evaluate the stable time,that is time for conductivity reach to certain value.
4.Software can re-evaluate every test curve.Through setting time range,select certain section of curve to evaluate,in order to avoid abnormal data caused by cleaning,sample or others.
5.Data base can store all related information,including conductivity curve,induction response time,using method,start and ending time of test.
